Head-on the Ashley is a broad 15.5cm face; turned side-on it thins to 7.5cm and all but disappears.
A ceramic slab form, 31cm tall, twice as wide as it is deep. The proportion is the whole point: it gives you the height of a full-sized vase on a surface that could not take a round one. On a 20cm floating shelf or a narrow hall console it sits well back from the edge instead of overhanging it.
Two colourways, terracotta and ivory, both carrying the same flat profile and the same shallow opening.
Give it a surface with depth to spare and a clear wall behind — a hall console, a windowsill, a bathroom ledge, the end of a kitchen bench. It reads as a shape against the wall, so anything busy directly behind it cancels the silhouette.
The interior is narrow, so treat it as a one- or two-stem vase and not an arrangement vessel. A single branch of blossom, one stem of pampas, two lengths of dried grass leaning slightly apart — that is the register. Crowding it forces the stems to splay at the mouth and the flat face stops reading. Two Ashleys side by side, one in each colourway, work better than a single vase on a wide console; if you want three objects, add a low bowl or a small candle rather than a third vase of the same height.
Terracotta is the warmer of the two and holds its own against timber, brick and jute — it wants a room with something earthy already in it. Ivory is the neutral choice and sits quietly against a white or greige wall, where it reads as a shadow line rather than a colour. Side by side the two are close enough in tone to look deliberate rather than mismatched.

Care

15.5cm wide, 7.5cm deep and 31cm tall. It is roughly twice as wide as it is deep, which is what gives it the flat, slab-like profile.
Colour only. Both share the same dimensions, form and opening. Terracotta is the warmer earth tone; ivory is the pale neutral.
Ceramic.
One or two. The opening is narrow and the interior shallow front to back, so a single branch or a pair of dried stems suits it far better than a full arrangement.
Yes. At 7.5cm deep it sits comfortably on a floating shelf, a windowsill or a hall console where a round vase of the same height would overhang the edge.
Ceramic vases of this type are best used with a slim glass or plastic liner, or checked for a sealed base before filling. Dried and preserved stems avoid the question entirely.
Dust with a dry soft cloth. Wipe marks with a barely damp cloth and dry immediately. Avoid abrasive cleaners and scouring pads.

|

◆ Care Instructions — All Decor & Accessories
|
Dust all decorative items regularly with a soft dry cloth or fine duster. For glass and ceramic pieces: wipe with a lightly dampened microfibre cloth. Dry immediately. For lamps: switch off and allow to cool before cleaning. Wipe base with a dry cloth. Vacuum fabric shades with a brush attachment. For candle holders: remove wax residue with warm water before it sets fully. Avoid submerging in water. For artificial plants: dust foliage with a dry cloth or use a hairdryer on a cool, low setting. Wipe planters with a damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners, bleach, and excessive moisture on all décor items. Display away from direct sunlight to preserve colour and finish over time. |
