How to Choose a Modular Lounge That Fits

Measure the room, then subtract: A modular should occupy no more than two thirds of the wall it sits against. Leave at least 45cm of walkway around its open sides, and 35–45cm between the seat edge and your coffee table.

Chaise direction: "Left-facing" and "right-facing" describe the chaise position as you look at the lounge. Decide based on your room's traffic flow — the chaise should point away from doorways and walkways, not into them. Many of our designs have reversible or movable chaise modules, so you're not locked in.

Check the access, not just the room: Because modulars arrive in separate modules, they pass through doorways, hallways and stairwells that defeat a full-size traditional lounge.
