Fabric Lounge Collection

Elegant Collections' range of well-made fabric lounge is forgiving, comfortable in every season, and quietly elegant for years. Textured weaves that hide the evidence of real life, deep cushioning built for daily use, and silhouettes that hold their own in a considered living room.

Fabric Lounges, Everyday Luxury That Lives Well for a Long Time

Texture hides life: Flat weaves show every mark; textured and multi-tonal weaves disguise daily wear remarkably well. If the lounge will host kids, pets or Friday-night pizza, choose texture.

Colour strategy: Mid-tone greys, taupes and naturals are the most forgiving over years of use. Very light fabrics photograph beautifully but demand discipline; very dark shades show lint and pet hair. If you want colour, add it through cushions and throws you can change with the seasons.

Sit test: Firm cushioning holds its shape and suits formal rooms; plush, feather-wrapped seats invite lounging but need regular plumping. Neither is wrong — it's about how your household actually sits.

Frame matters more than fabric: The fabric is what you see; the frame is why it lasts. Check the construction details on each product page — that's where a lounge earns its price.

Fabric, Velvet, Leather or Boucle?

If this is the household's main everyday lounge, fabric is usually the right call. For a formal room or statement piece, look to velvet; for something that improves with age, leather; for sculptural, contemporary texture, boucle. Rearranging often, or working with an awkward room? Consider a modular.

Fabric Lounge Collection FAQs

The questions our showroom team gets asked most.

How do I clean a fabric lounge?

Vacuum often, weekly is recommended, with an upholstery attachment. Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth — never rub or soak. Check the product's care guidance before using any cleaning product, and consider professional cleaning annually. Guardsman Protection covers accidental stains.

Which fabric colour is most practical for families?

Mid-tone, textured fabrics in grey, taupe or natural tones hide everyday wear best. Multi-tonal weaves are the most forgiving of all.

How much space should I leave around a lounge?

Keep 35–45cm between the lounge and coffee table, and at least 45cm of walkway on trafficked sides. A lounge should occupy no more than about two-thirds of the wall behind it.

Do fabric lounges arrive assembled?

Most arrive fully or largely assembled — typically legs are the only attachment required — though some designs may require assembly. Check the product page for specifics, and measure your narrowest doorway against the listed dimensions before ordering.

How long does delivery take?

Metropolitan Melbourne and Sydney — typically within 7 business days, with delivery cost calculated at checkout. Regional and interstate delivery is also available: standard shipping is calculated at checkout, and sofa beds are bulky-goods items that can be quoted via accounts@elegantcollections.com.au before ordering.
