Chester Fluted Round Dining Table - Walnut Veneer
A round dining table is the one shape where nobody sits at the head and everybody can reach the middle.
This is a short, deliberate edit. The Miles round dining table pairs a sintered stone top with a sculptural pedestal base in three finishes, so the chairs can match the base or contrast with it. The Ripple fluted round dining table carries a travertine-look stone top on a fluted stone column, the same design language as the Ripple coffee, console and buffet pieces, so a whole open-plan room can run on one family. Both are pedestal tables, which means no corner legs for knees to find.
What size round table does a room need?
A 120cm diameter round dining table seats four comfortably; 135–150cm seats six with slim chairs. Add 90cm of clearance all the way around for chairs to pull out and people to walk past, so a 135cm table needs a clear circle of about 3.2m. A pedestal base lets a sixth chair squeeze in where a four-leg table would not. Check the exact diameter on each product page against your room.
See the rectangle and oval designs in all dining tables and the stone-topped pieces in marble dining tables. Pair with dining chairs — upholstered chairs with a rounded back suit a round table best. Both tables are on display in our Melbourne showrooms and in Sydney at Auburn.
