Florence Nordic Vase - 2 Sizes Available

The Florence is close to square from the front and almost nothing from the side — 21.5cm across against 7cm deep on the large.

Ceramic, in two sizes that keep the same proportion rather than simply scaling down: the 25cm is 21.5cm wide, the 17cm is 15.5cm wide, so both read as a broad panel with a shallow body behind it. That consistency is why the two sizes group cleanly instead of looking like a parent and a child.

Black or ivory, with the same form in both.

Placing and grouping them

Buy them in pairs and set them together. The 8cm height difference between the 17cm and the 25cm is a clear step without one dominating — stand them shoulder to shoulder, slightly overlapping from the viewing angle, and the two front faces read as one composition. For a third piece, go lower rather than in between: a small bowl or a stack of two books keeps the odd-number rule without flattening the step.

Depth is the practical advantage. At 6–7cm both sizes sit on a 30cm-deep sideboard with room to spare in front, and on open shelving the 17cm clears a standard 25cm shelf gap comfortably while the 25cm needs at least 30cm of clearance to avoid looking wedged in. On a coffee table the 17cm alone is the safer choice — it stays below eye level across the sofa.

One or two stems each. The wide face means a stem should lean along the width, not toward the room; a single tall grass or a length of dried eucalyptus laid into the opening at a slight angle follows the shape. A dense bunch simply hides the vase.

Black and ivory, and how the two sizes differ

Black gives you a hard silhouette and is the better choice against a pale wall or a light timber shelf, where the outline is the whole effect. Ivory is quieter and works where the wall behind is already busy — art, books, a textured finish — because it does not compete for attention. Mixing one of each across the two sizes is the most useful combination: the tall black holds the eye, the short ivory softens it.
