A 220cm fluted walnut-finish TV unit with a travertine-look sintered stone top and gold stainless steel detailing.
The Chester TV unit does something most entertainment units forget to: it looks like furniture rather than equipment. The long fluted front in a rich walnut finish catches the light in fine vertical ridges, the slim gold-finish stainless steel handles and base trim give it the same jewellery as the Chester dining tables, and the light travertine-look stone top turns it into a surface worth styling — a lamp, a vase, a stack of books — rather than a shelf for the remote.
At 220cm long and 45cm high it sits low and wide, which is exactly what a large screen wants beneath it: a 65-inch television is roughly 145cm wide, so the Chester leaves generous breathing room either side and keeps the screen at a comfortable seated eye height. Inside, the drawers and cabinets are finished in the same walnut tone as the frame, so it looks as considered open as it does closed.
Allow a wall of at least 240cm so the unit does not run edge to edge, and centre it on your seating rather than the wall if the two differ. For a 55- to 75-inch screen, a 220cm unit is the right proportion — the screen should sit inside the unit's width with clear space at both ends.
