A 180cm fluted walnut-finish sideboard with a travertine-look sintered stone top, gold stainless steel handles and colour-matched interiors.
A buffet is the piece that quietly runs a dining room: the serving surface at a dinner party, the home for the good glassware, the wall that needed something. The Chester does all three with the same language as the rest of the range — a long fluted front in a rich walnut finish that catches the light in fine vertical ridges, slim gold-finish stainless steel handles and base trim, and a light travertine-look stone top that turns the whole thing into a surface worth styling with a lamp, a mirror above, and a vase of stems.
Behind the doors, the drawers and cabinet interiors are finished in the same walnut tone as the frame, so it looks as considered open as closed. At 180cm long and 81cm high it is sized for a dining wall or an open-plan living zone, and it pairs directly with the Chester dining tables and TV unit.
Allow a wall of at least 200cm so the buffet has breathing room at each end, and 100cm of clear floor in front so doors open and people can serve from it while others pass behind. The 81cm height puts the stone top at a comfortable serving height and leaves room for a mirror or artwork above — an arch mirror or a large canvas centred over it finishes the wall.
Travertine-look sintered stone top — the warm look of light travertine in a dense sintered stone that handles hot serving dishes and spills.
Fluted walnut-finish front — vertical fluting gives the long face shadow and rhythm instead of a flat panel.
Gold-finish stainless steel handles and trim — matches the Chester tables and TV unit, and gold-legged dining chairs.
Colour-matched interior — drawers and cabinet interiors finished in the walnut tone of the frame.
Part of the Chester range — dining tables, TV unit, console, coffee and side tables in the same travertine tones, walnut and gold.

Care
Wipe the stone with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry; use coasters and wipe spills promptly. Avoid abrasive pads and harsh chemical cleaners. Dust the frame with a soft dry cloth.
Metropolitan Melbourne and Sydney: calculated at checkout, typically within 7 business days once in stock. Regional and interstate delivery is also available, calculated at checkout. A stone-top buffet is a bulky item — for a tailored quote, or to arrange placement and packaging removal, email accounts@elegantcollections.com.au before ordering.
Complete the dining room with the matching Chester Fluted Round Dining Table or Chester Fluted Rectangle Dining Table, and the Chester Fluted TV Entertainment Unit.
The drawers and cabinet interiors are finished in the same walnut tone as the frame, so the buffet looks as considered open as it does closed.
A mirror or a large canvas centred over it, sized to about two-thirds of the buffet's width — 120cm is the right scale for this 180cm piece — and hung 15 to 25cm above the travertine top. An arch mirror in gold picks up the handles.
No harder than marble. Wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry, use coasters under anything wet, wipe spills promptly, and keep acidic or abrasive cleaners away from the stone. Dust the walnut veneer with a soft dry cloth.
The travertine top and the walnut unit arrive as separate pieces and are brought together in place. Metropolitan Melbourne and Sydney delivery is calculated at checkout, typically within 7 business days once in stock. For a bulky-item quote, placement or packaging removal, email accounts@elegantcollections.com.au before ordering.

Dining Tables & Chairs
Material & Care Guide
◆ Materials — Dining Tables
|
Tabletop options (varies by model): · Sintered stone: Ultra-durable compressed mineral surface — scratch, heat, and stain resistant. · Marble: Natural stone with unique veining — each piece is one of a kind. · Tempered glass: Safety glass that is significantly stronger than standard glass. · Timber veneer or MDF with lacquer finish: Warm, natural aesthetic with a durable surface coating. Base: Powder-coated steel, stainless steel, or solid timber in your selected finish. |
◆ Materials — Dining Chairs
|
Upholstery: Velvet, fabric, vegan leather, or boucle seating pad (varies by model). Frame: Solid timber, powder-coated metal, or stainless steel frame and legs. Cushioning: High-density foam seating for comfort during long dining occasions. |
◆ Care Instructions — Dining Tables
|
Sintered stone & marble: Wipe spills immediately, especially acidic liquids (wine, citrus, coffee) which can etch natural surfaces. Clean with a pH-neutral cleaner and warm water. Use coasters and trivets at all times. Avoid bleach and abrasive cleaners. Tempered glass: Spray glass cleaner onto a lint-free cloth — never directly on the glass. Avoid abrasive pads and steel wool. Timber/MDF: Wipe with a dry or lightly damp cloth. Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture. Use coasters and placemats to prevent surface marks. |
◆ Care Instructions — Dining Chairs
|
Spot clean upholstered seats with a damp cloth and mild detergent — blot, do not rub. For velvet dining chairs: vacuum with soft brush attachment. Steam lightly to restore pile. Wipe timber or metal frames with a dry cloth to remove dust. Avoid dragging chairs across hard floors — lift to move or use felt floor protectors on legs. Tighten all screws every 6 months to maintain structural stability. |
