Oslo is woven, not moulded.
The shade is hand-worked jute over a rattan frame, and it does something a fabric shade cannot: it breaks the light into a soft, dappled warmth instead of flattening it. Switched off, Oslo reads as texture. Switched on, it reads as atmosphere.
At 30cm across and 38cm high, Oslo is scaled for a bedside table, a console beside an entry mirror, or the end of a sideboard — anywhere you want a pool of light rather than a room's worth of it.
The working rule for a bedside lamp is that the bottom of the shade should sit near eye level when you are sitting up in bed. On a standard 55–60cm bedside table, Oslo lands correctly without adjustment. Across a long sideboard, a pair reads better than one.
Natural leaves the jute undyed — warm, sandy, and at home with oak, linen and pale walls. Black is dyed through, so the weave still catches the light but the lamp reads as a silhouette against a light wall. Natural softens a room; black anchors it.

30cm across the shade and 38cm high. That is a bedside and console scale — large enough to read by, small enough not to crowd a nightstand alongside a book and a glass of water.
Natural leaves the jute undyed, so it reads warm and sandy and sits easily with oak, linen and pale walls. Black is dyed through — the weave still catches the light, but the lamp reads as a silhouette. Natural softens a room; black anchors it.
Hand-worked jute woven over a rattan frame. Because the fibre is natural, no two shades diffuse the light in exactly the same pattern.
Bedside tables, an entry console beside a mirror, or the end of a long sideboard. A pair reads better than a single lamp across a sideboard over 1.8m.
Aim for the bottom of the shade near eye level when you are sitting up in bed. On a standard 55–60cm bedside table the Oslo lands correctly without a riser.
Dust with a dry, soft brush, or a vacuum brush attachment on the lowest setting. Do not wet the jute. Keep it out of prolonged direct sunlight so the natural fibre does not fade unevenly.

Material & Care Guide
◆ Materials — Floor & Table Lamps
|
Base: Ceramic, resin, metal, or timber base in your selected finish — hand-finished for a premium result. Shade: Linen, fabric, or metal shade (varies by model). Fitting: E27 bulb fitting compatible with standard Australian bulbs. Bulb not included unless stated. Cord: Fabric-wrapped or standard PVC power cord with Australian plug. |
◆ Materials — Candle Holders, Vases & Ginger Jars
|
Construction: Ceramic, glass, resin, or metal depending on the individual piece. Finish: Hand-glazed, lacquered, or hand-painted — minor natural variations are characteristic of artisan production. Note: Decorative items. Not all pieces are food-safe or waterproof internally — use a liner for flower arrangements. |
◆ Materials — Artificial Plants & Planters
|
Foliage: High-quality silk or polyester artificial foliage — UV-treated for indoor use. Planter: Ceramic, resin, rattan, or metal planter (varies by product). Note: Artificial plants require no watering and are suitable for low-light areas where live plants would not thrive. |
◆ Care Instructions — All Decor & Accessories
|
Dust all decorative items regularly with a soft dry cloth or fine duster. For glass and ceramic pieces: wipe with a lightly dampened microfibre cloth. Dry immediately. For lamps: switch off and allow to cool before cleaning. Wipe base with a dry cloth. Vacuum fabric shades with a brush attachment. For candle holders: remove wax residue with warm water before it sets fully. Avoid submerging in water. For artificial plants: dust foliage with a dry cloth or use a hairdryer on a cool, low setting. Wipe planters with a damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners, bleach, and excessive moisture on all décor items. Display away from direct sunlight to preserve colour and finish over time. |
