The two sizes are not scaled copies of one another. The Small is the wide one — 14 x 14cm at its widest, 17.5cm high. The Large is the tall one — 19.5cm high on a narrower 11 x 11cm base. So the Large is 2cm taller but 3cm slimmer, and the contrast between the squat body and the drawn-out one is the reason to own both.

Where a 17.5cm and a 19.5cm object sits

On a coffee table of 110–130cm, group the pair on a tray of 30–35cm. Side by side they take up about 25cm of width plus a finger-width gap, so roughly 30cm of tray — which still leaves two-thirds of the table surface clear for cups and books. Small and Large are different shapes, not different scales

Worth being plain about this, because the names are counter-intuitive: the Large is the taller, narrower pear and the Small is the shorter, wider one. Buy by the dimensions rather than the label if you only want one. If you want a visible step in height across a vignette, the pair alone will not give it to you — there is only 2cm between them, so they read as a matched set rather than a graduated group. Add a third element with real height difference, a 25–30cm vase or a lamp, and let the pears sit as the low pair at its base.
