A tray is what turns a scatter of objects into an arrangement.
Tara is cut from white marble with grey veining that runs differently through every piece, and finished with slim black metal handles — the proportions of something you would find in a hotel suite rather than a homewares aisle.
Round or rectangular — they do different jobs
The rectangle, at 30 × 20cm, is the ottoman tray. It holds a remote, a candle and a stack of two books without anything sliding off the edge.
The round, at 30cm across, is the bar cart and vanity tray. No corners to fight with, and it reads better under a cluster of bottles or perfume than a rectangle does.
One is for the coffee table. Two is for the coffee table and whichever other surface in your house quietly collects things.
Marble behaves like stone, not like laminate
Every Tara is cut from natural stone, so the veining, tone and weight vary from piece to piece — yours will not be identical to the photograph, and that is the point of buying marble rather than a print of it.
Marble is also porous. Red wine, citrus, coffee and perfume oils will mark it if they are left to sit. Wipe spills as they happen and it stays white.

Which shape should I choose?
The rectangle (30 × 20cm) suits an ottoman or coffee table, where straight edges hold a stack of books and a candle neatly. The round (30cm) suits a bar cart, vanity or entry console, where a cluster of bottles or perfume reads better without corners.
Will my tray look exactly like the photograph?
No, and it should not. Each Tara is cut from natural marble, so the veining pattern, the tone of the grey and the exact weight vary from piece to piece.
Does marble stain?
It can. Marble is porous, so red wine, citrus juice, coffee and perfume oils will mark it if they are left to sit. Blot spills as they happen and the surface stays white.
Can I put a drink straight onto it?
A glass of water or a closed bottle, yes. For anything acidic or strongly coloured, use a coaster — acid etches marble permanently, and etching is different from staining because it cannot be cleaned out.
How do I clean it?
A damp cloth and an immediate dry. Never vinegar, lemon, bleach or abrasive cream cleaners — all of them will dull or etch the surface.
