A 150cm round dining table with a travertine-look sintered stone top on a fluted walnut-finish base, finished with a gold stainless steel band.
The Chester is built around one idea: a round table gathers people better than any other shape. Six chairs around a 150cm circle means everyone faces everyone, nobody is stuck at the far end, and the conversation stays in the middle where it belongs. The top is a travertine-look sintered stone — warm, matte and softly textured like light travertine, but far tougher against heat, spills and everyday knocks — and it sits on a broad fluted pedestal in a rich walnut finish, so there are no legs to negotiate at the corners and every seat has room.
The detail that finishes it is the slim stainless steel band in a gold finish where the pedestal meets the floor. It lifts the walnut visually, catches the light under a pendant, and ties the table to gold-trimmed dining chairs. Together, travertine tones, walnut and gold read as warm, contemporary and a little more considered than the usual marble-and-black.
A 150cm round seats six comfortably with 60cm of table edge per setting, and a pedestal base means no chair ever fights a leg. Allow 90cm of clear floor all the way around so chairs can be pulled out and walked behind — that makes a 3.3m × 3.3m space the comfortable minimum, which suits most Australian dining rooms and open-plan kitchen-dining zones. Because it is round, it also works in a square room where a long rectangular table would sit awkwardly.
Travertine-look sintered stone top — the warm, softly textured look of light travertine in a dense sintered stone that stands up to heat, spills and daily use far better than natural stone.
Fluted walnut-finish pedestal — vertical fluting adds shadow and rhythm to the base, and the single central column keeps every seat unobstructed.
Gold-finish stainless steel band — a slim metal ring at the foot of the pedestal that lifts the walnut and matches gold-legged dining chairs.
Seats six — the right size for a family table that still hosts a dinner party.
Delivered as a top and a base — the stone top and walnut-finish pedestal arrive separately and are brought together in place.

Care
Wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry; use coasters and placemats and wipe spills promptly. Sintered stone resists heat, scratches and staining, but avoid abrasive pads and harsh chemical cleaners.
Metropolitan Melbourne and Sydney: calculated at checkout, typically within 7 business days once in stock. Regional and interstate delivery is also available, calculated at checkout. A stone-top table is a bulky item — for a tailored quote, or to arrange assembly and packaging removal, email accounts@elegantcollections.com.au before ordering.
Need a longer table? See the Chester Fluted Rectangle Dining Table. Complete the room with the matching Chester Fluted Sideboard Buffet and Chester Fluted TV Entertainment Unit.
Six comfortably. At 150cm across it gives each setting about 60cm of table edge, and the pedestal base means no seat is blocked by a leg. Allow 90cm of clear floor around the table for chairs to pull out.
No harder than marble. Wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry, use coasters and placemats, wipe spills promptly, and keep acidic or abrasive cleaners away from the stone. Travertine's natural pitting and colour variation are part of the material, not a fault.
The gold band on the pedestal pairs naturally with gold-legged chairs — our Alsea velvet tufted dining chairs in beige or black velvet with gold legs are the showroom favourite with this table. Six chairs suits it.
The travertine top and the walnut base arrive as separate pieces and are brought together in place. Metropolitan Melbourne and Sydney delivery is calculated at checkout, typically within 7 business days once in stock. Material & Care Guide
◆ Materials — Dining Tables
|
Tabletop options (varies by model): · Sintered stone: Ultra-durable compressed mineral surface — scratch, heat, and stain resistant. · Marble: Natural stone with unique veining — each piece is one of a kind. · Tempered glass: Safety glass that is significantly stronger than standard glass. · Timber veneer or MDF with lacquer finish: Warm, natural aesthetic with a durable surface coating. Base: Powder-coated steel, stainless steel, or solid timber in your selected finish. |
◆ Materials — Dining Chairs
|
Upholstery: Velvet, fabric, vegan leather, or boucle seating pad (varies by model). Frame: Solid timber, powder-coated metal, or stainless steel frame and legs. Cushioning: High-density foam seating for comfort during long dining occasions. |
◆ Care Instructions — Dining Tables
|
Sintered stone & marble: Wipe spills immediately, especially acidic liquids (wine, citrus, coffee) which can etch natural surfaces. Clean with a pH-neutral cleaner and warm water. Use coasters and trivets at all times. Avoid bleach and abrasive cleaners. Tempered glass: Spray glass cleaner onto a lint-free cloth — never directly on the glass. Avoid abrasive pads and steel wool. Timber/MDF: Wipe with a dry or lightly damp cloth. Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture. Use coasters and placemats to prevent surface marks. |
◆ Care Instructions — Dining Chairs
|
Spot clean upholstered seats with a damp cloth and mild detergent — blot, do not rub. For velvet dining chairs: vacuum with soft brush attachment. Steam lightly to restore pile. Wipe timber or metal frames with a dry cloth to remove dust. Avoid dragging chairs across hard floors — lift to move or use felt floor protectors on legs. Tighten all screws every 6 months to maintain structural stability. |
